Text preview

Extracted text keeps page separators so long documents stay easy to scan. Scanned PDFs require OCR and are not converted here.

Text is separated by page. Scanned or image-only PDFs require OCR and are reported clearly instead of producing an empty TXT file.

Best practices before you convert

Text extraction is not OCR

PDF to Text extracts text that already exists inside the PDF. If the document is scanned or image-only, there may be no selectable text to extract.

For digital PDFs, the tool can process every page or only selected ranges such as 2-5 or 1,3,7. The TXT output keeps the original PDF page numbers.
